It’s pleasing to receive feedback like this after our gatherings:
“The residents absolutely love you all. They keep stopping me in the hallway to say, ‘Bring them back’. You all truly have a gift. Along with our residents singing, it’s like a choir of angels singing here. … You do wonders for the staff, as well!” ~ Sharon (Provision Living activity director) after 2024-02-06 JNC event
Joyful Noise – A little about us…
Joyful Noise gatherings are opportunities to share songs plus fellowship with those in the Cincinnati region – whether in houses, apartments, senior living places, hospitals, etc.. We generally gather with folks for 10-30 minutes (amount of time is heavily dictated by the person/group being visited.)
Many times our music recipients sing along – – that is encouraged. In fact, we frequently provide song sheets or booklets for some of the songs in case folks want to join in the singing.
There’s never a charge for scheduled Joyful Noise visits…we get payment-in-full from the smiles, good feelings and singing-along that usually come with such experiences…
Our noise is tolerable enough that we’ve even sung at “celebration of life” services for special folks who have been part of our lives (and have asked.)
The goal? To brighten lives – – including our own!
If you know someone who might appreciate a visit from us, please contact that person to confirm they would like a visit and then contact Steve Long and we will schedule a time.
One of our “regular gigs” for Joyful Noise Boys has been with dozens of residents and friends at Mt. Washington Care Center (MWCC.) Any “MWPC community men” who would like to try this ministry out are welcome to come join us – no singing experience necessary!!!! We usually sing some familiar**** songs first and then hand out a sing-along page so everyone has words in case they want to join in the noise.
Folks interested in joining can contact Steve or any one of the people pictured on this webpage 🙂

Joyful Noise – Our History
Started informally in the year 2010 as a joint operation of Steve Long and Lee Davis, the goal is to go out spreading our love of God and community through song. Our first recipient was Jim Meredith and since that time small groups of men have been in several homes, hospitals and area care/residential facilities including Mt. Washington Care Center (Jan, 2 Wilmas – K. and S. are previous residents); Traditions @ Camargo (Merle, Ted, Kay, Sue, Betty); Anthology (Sue, Les, John); The Glen (Jean, Doris); Pinebrook (Bud/Judy); SEM Apartments (Roland); Forest Hills Care Center (Missy, several previously, including Ann McC., Jan McG); Sutton Grove (previously Jim M); The Anderson (many previously, including Lee later in life)
*** NOTE: Joyful Noise began as a group of men – thus the “boys” reference. Beginning in 2022 we are increasingly scheduling Joyful Noise experiences that go beyond “the boys,” to all gender identities. In such situations, we become the Joyful Noise Crew.
